Strategic planning and dreaming
ASSITEJ SA board members, staff and interns, along with members of the Department of Basic Education, met for a weekend’s Strategic Planning to consider the way forward for the period 2024-2026.
There are a number of exciting new initiatives which are being explored. From working with the DBE to initiate and pilot an Arts-Rich schools project, to dreaming the path to Cradle 2025, to incorporating digital more fully in ways of working and in some of the platforms we use to reach our community, to considering alternative income streams for sustainability, we were able to explore some of the ways that ASSITEJ SA can effect its mission in the coming years. It was a joy to be in the room with most of our team (and the virtual room with some more who couldn’t be there in person) and to hear everyone’s dedication and commitment to the work of ASSITEJ and to our collective sense of purpose.
